The art of living in harmony with nature.
Being in stillness and peace, yet also in movement.
Following the flow and knowing when to pause. Seeking the spiritual path through the human body, breath, and energy.

This is what Tao means to us—a path that has guided us for more than thirty years.

From a young age, we were drawn to Taoist philosophy for its profound wisdom, simplicity, and respect for the natural way. For us, it is not a theory, but a way of being and functioning in today’s world. It is reflected in the environment we live in, the way we move and perceive the body, space, and time, in how we teach, create, breathe, heal, and in how we nurture our relationship and savor life.

We have spent many years studying various aspects of Taoist philosophy, movement and healing arts, as well as making regular journeys to China, where we learn directly from masters. We draw from ancient wisdom and transform it into a contemporary, living experience.

Tao guides and accompanies us in these areas, which you will also find on this website:

Zuna Vesan
Zuna has studied Chinese medicine, qigong, neigong, shiatsu, and other Taoist healing arts for many years. Her deep connection to the meridian system, energy work, and the body intertwines with her artistic creation, therapy, and movement pedagogy. In her work, she combines the knowledge of ancient traditions with a modern approach to the body, movement, and health. She perceives Tao as a living principle that manifests both in stillness and motion, in healing touch and everyday being.

A significant milestone on her path was meeting Master Zhong XueChao (known as Master Bing) – a direct heir of Taoist lineages, whose teachings on qigong and Taoist medicine profoundly influenced her approach to energy, health, and personal development.

She is the author of several books on health, movement, and Taoist wisdom: Tao – The PWay to Health, Meridians – Pathways of Life, Qigong as Medicine, The Wisdom of the Tree, The Wisdom of the Tree – A Creative Guide, and The Tao of Movement. She also contributed to the translations of 365 Tao (by Deng Ming-Dao) and Being Taoist (by Eva Wong) into Slovak.

Zuna has many years of therapeutic practice in shiatsu, reiki, traditional Chinese medicine, moxibustion, and sound therapy. In recent years, she has also devoted herself to forest therapy (shinrin-yoku). She is the founder of her own Shiatsu and Tao School, which has been operating for 20 years.

Milan Kozánek
Milan has devoted almost his entire life to applying ancient Chinese thinking to everyday life. For many years, he has studied canonical texts such as the Tao Te Ching, The Analects of Confucius, Zhuangzi, and the I Ching (Book of Changes), whose insights he also develops in the practice of divination readings. He deepens his understanding of Eastern philosophy through the study of Japanese and Chinese calligraphy as well.

A crucial moment on his journey was meeting Master Sam F.S. Chin, grandmaster and guardian of the martial art I Liq Chuan, also known as the martial art of awareness, which significantly deepened Milan’s understanding of working with the body, mind, and energy.

As a dance educator, choreographer, director, and dramaturg, he integrates Taoist principles with conscious movement, anatomy, and contemporary stage language. In his work, he draws on classical Taoist texts and trusts the body as a source of wisdom, balance, and transformation. He has collaborated with numerous artistic institutions at home and abroad, where his perspective has inspired new and innovative approaches.

Zuna and Milan are artists at heart and lovers of the natural world.
We weave our lives between two realms – the vibrant city, where we create theatre productions, publish books, and collaborate with schools and cultural institutions, and the quiet mountains, where we live surrounded by the stillness and beauty of nature. We have created the Pangea Center in the Eagle Mountains, Czech Republic – a place for retreats, intimate theatre residencies and productions, as well as meditation retreats, Qigong practice, calligraphy lessons, and healing therapies.
For us, Tao is not merely a philosophy – it is the way we live. It flows through the rhythm of nature we witness each day and through the pulse of the city when the time comes to create, to meet, and to share our art with the world.
